


July 6th-10th the Studio de Danse Danielle competitive team took the stage in Deerhurst and competed their 99 routines with amazing results. The teams acro routine “Mummified” won the ULTIMATE SHINE AWARD (Highest Score of the competition), Top Intermediate Choreography (Isabelle Lepage and Candice Trivett Kouleib), Highest Acro Score, and 1st place in the 12& Under Dance-off. The studios routine “GLAM” by Lorraine Barbeau won 2nd Place in the 13& Up Dance-off. Soloists Nolan Larocque & Éliza Gélinas Lance were crowned Mr Shine & Miss Shine, and Émilie Potie, Nickolas Branco & Justin Verreault winning 1st Runner Up all in their age division. Kassidy Verreault and Émilie Potie won Over-all Top Soloist with their two solos receiving the highest solo average. The school received many overall awards our students were even noticed throughout the workshops they participate in. Nickolas Branco and Jasmine Poupore were selected during the workshops as students who displayed amazing potential and determination in the class. The entire team was at their best and the teachers and parents were all lucky to witness their passion for dance and their dedication to the art/sport. Three dancers from the team Nolan Larocque, Émilie Potie, & Nickolas Branco also participated in the ADA soloist title competition in Boston. This experience was more than extraordinary. The dancers participated in auditions and workshops and met many great friends. Nickolas Branco placed 4th Runner Up in the Junior Division and all 3 dancers made the school proud with their exceptional performances. Congratulations to all the competitive team for an amazing season!

With highly experienced faculty and a variety of dance styles like no other, this is the Intensive Summer Camp advanced dancers do not want to miss. New to this seasons faculty we would like to welcome Danny Poland former professional dancer and director of Professional Dance Arts, Catherine Friesen trained in Russian and Cecchetti Ballet at Dance Educators and Pilates and Fitness trainer, Mariah-Jane Theis supervisor with the Royal Academy of Dance. The directors bring in teachers who will captivate, motivate, and inspire any advanced dancer in styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, ballroom basics, acrobatics, hip hop, gymnastics, musical theatre, stretching, and strength training. The intensive camp offers advanced training in 8-10 ability levels for dancers ages 7 and up. The school welcomes advanced dancers from other schools to try our camp and return to their next competitive season one step ahead. We love the challenge new dancers bring to our students! We promise you will not be disappointed.
This July 90 dancers will be heading to Huntsville to compete in the National Finals of the Shine Dance Competition. Being the competitor’s favorite competition the dancers have been excited about this event for months. The team will be competing 101 routines at the novice to competitive levels from 6 to 16 year age division. The Studio Danielle dancers have been training and rehearsing since last September and are geared up for success. Traveling out of town is always a memorable experience for dancers, teachers and parents and the caliber of talent is always impressive at finals. The teams 2 artistic directors attribute the success of their competitive team to qualified teachers, good technical dance training and dancers who give 100%.
